About the Scholarship
The William R. Wagner Memorial Scholarship was established by family and friends to honor William's dedicated service, commitment to Public Education, and his years of involvement with Junior Leadership. The scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student who has enrolled in an accredited program in the field of Education.

Candidate must submit an application form by Mid-April 2027.

Candidate must be:
- A graduate of the Junior Leadership Program
- Pursuing a degree in the field of Education from an accredited university or college

Participate in the Interview Process.

Transcripts, letters of recommendation, and an outline will be reviewed with Junior Leadership.
Scholarship Award
- The recipient will be announced at the Junior Leadership Graduation Ceremony each year.
- The scholarship award will be sent to the college or university to be deposited into their account.

In essay format, please respond to the following questions and submit with your application.

Briefly describe your experiences that have influenced your decision to pursue a degree in education.

Explain the level, subject, or area of Education you are pursuing a certification in, and why you want to work with that level, subject, and student.
Applications open in March 2027
The next award cycle will begin accepting applications from the Junior Leadership Northeast Class of 2026 in March 2027. Check back then to apply for the scholarship.
